A handled evaporating dish, also known as a handled evaporation dish, is a specialized subtype of evaporating dish. It is mass‑produced in the Tangshan ceramics and chemical‑equipment manufacturing region and is a high‑temperature‑resistant ceramic vessel frequently used in laboratory analysis and industrial/mining settings. Like its handleless counterpart, the “yuan dish,” and glass surface dishes, it belongs to the same category of laboratory ware. The handled evaporating dish features a shallow, round basin with a flat bottom, an integral ceramic handle on one side, and a spout at the rim for pouring. Most of the interior surface is glazed, while the top of the handle and the rim are typically left unglazed to prevent slipping when held at high temperatures.
