Corundum crucibles, also known as alumina crucibles, are typically referred to as corundum crucibles when the alumina content exceeds 95%.

Applications

1. Corundum crucibles are made of porous fused alumina, making them strong and refractory.

2. Corundum crucibles are suitable for melting samples with weakly alkaline substances such as anhydrous Na2CO3 as a flux. They are not suitable for use with strongly alkaline substances such as Na2O2 and NaOH, or acidic substances such as K2S2O7, as fluxes.

3. Characteristics of corundum crucibles: high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, resistance to rapid cooling and heating, and chemical corrosion resistance.

4. Shapes of corundum crucibles: arc-shaped, cylindrical.

5. Specifications of corundum crucibles: 5-1000ml.
