Volatile crucible


A volatilization crucible, also known as a volatile‑matter crucible, is a specialized instrument used in coal analysis. It conforms to the national standard GB/T 212 for determining the volatile matter content of bituminous and anthracite coals. Both sealed crucibles and double‑layer crucibles are subcategories of volatilization crucibles. Basic Structural Features The volatilization crucible features an overall conical shape with a stepped upper opening. A locating ledge is machined along the rim, enabling the crucible lid to fit tightly and precisely. The primary design objective is to isolate the sample from external air under high‑temperature conditions, thereby preventing oxidation of the coal sample and minimizing the risk of sample spattering. Model specifications: 20 mL—outer diameter 32 mm, height 43 mm, bottom diameter 21 mm; 25 mL—outer diameter 37 mm, height 46 mm, bottom diameter 22 mm; 30 mL—outer diameter 39.5 mm, height 52 mm, bottom diameter 24 mm.
